Sunday 9th April 2006 - Naming day
Mikayla-Jade's naming day was a huge success.

Of course we have lots of pictures but don't always post them as often as we should....
Only cos having a 9.5 month old baby is a full time job!!

October 22nd to October 31st 2005>

Emma will still be in hospital for a few days as caesarians take it out of ya. Mikayla-Jade has been very quiet but this morning reportably she wanted to show her mum what she could do.
Smiling Mikayla-Jade looked at her mum whilst the nurse was changing her dirty bum, as Mikayla-Jade looked away she "just exploded" as Emma describes, then if that wasn't as impressive she vomited with some very unsuspected force.

Day two - Sunday 23rd October

Em and Rob are looking forward to Mikayla-Jades first bath. As time allows we shall post new pictures and try to keep all interested parties informed. .

Beyond footsteps at the moment and not quite building empires Mikayla-Jade has reached the top of her little world today as you can see. Tomorrow she moves onto the nurses of the hospital. :P

She has mastered fooling people already, is this a common thing for babies to have such talents?
This is really weird, maybe it's a family thing or just a freak perhaps. Both Mikayla-Jade and my sisters only girl have this same mark on their ear. Anyone care to theorise on this? Close up of Mikayla-Jade's ear
It's nice to be comforted by the instinctive facts that children look up to their parents and respect them. Mikayla-Jade seams to be giving Rob the finger
Maybe that's very early on in life!
At any rate she will always be a very loved child and may she grow to be an individual and proud of what she achieves.

Morning after returning home
It was a rough night, don't all parents consider sending them back to the cabbage patch?
Em found her camera at just the right time it seems.
Mikayla-Jade and Rob, sleeping babies Babies have it all, tit anytime, sleeping up to 20 hours a day, don't have to bitch about the status of the toilet seat and above all else unconditional love of all of those around and whom know them.

Mikayla-Jade knows her daddies hands as they come to pick her up. Rob's hands around Mikayla-s tummy with Mikayla-Jade smiling Some say that it takes worlds to make women happy, in this case Rob thinks that Em is just happy with our new family being together at last.

Welcome to our lives Mikayla-Jade, weighing 7 pound 10, She was 50cm long and quite a cutey.
Mikayla decided that being too big she wanted to come out via caesarian, so 16 hours of labor and a lot of drugs later the hospital staff of Launceston General Hospital decided to grant her wish.
06:00am Saturday 22nd October 2005 Em was wheeled off with her mother to theatre, 40 minutes later at 06:40 Mikayla-Jade was born.
